Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM or “Call Manager”) is the core processing platform for the world’s most advanced enterprise IP phone system.  CUCM enables managed call control, voice, video, messaging, mobility, Instant Messaging (IM) and Presence in a single unified business phone system. CUCM has no enforced limit but is optimized for 40,000 – 80,000 users at over 2,000 sites.  To complement its core communications phone system, Cisco provides a host of different end point options including wireless devices, conference phones, desktop and mobile clients, and a wide variety of IP desktop phones ranging from entry-level to high-end executive phones.  Call Manager lets businesses communicate securely and efficiently with less network hardware, reduced IT complexity, and much lower costs.
